Head of Rosgranstroy inspects Khasan and Turiy Rog checkpoints in Primorye

Dmitry Boykov, head of the federal state institution Rosgranstroy, together with deputy head Georgy Budaev and acting director of the Vladivostok branch Denis Kvak, visited the Khasan and Turiy Rog checkpoints, where the cargo direction has been completed and work on passenger infrastructure continues.

During a working trip to Primorsky Krai, the Rosgranstroy delegation inspected the Khasan automobile checkpoint, where work on the cargo direction has been completed. Work is ongoing on the second launch complex, which will allow the passenger component of the checkpoint to be launched. Khasan is the first automobile border crossing on the border with the DPRK.

Once fully operational, traffic at Khasan will run on 10 lanes, with a throughput capacity of 300 vehicles per day (with the possibility of increasing to 800) and 2,325 people per day. The delegation also assessed the operation of the existing Turiy Rog automobile checkpoint in the Khankaisky district.

Primorsky Krai currently has five automobile checkpoints. At the end of June 2026, after a large-scale reconstruction, the Pogranichny checkpoint opened — the largest in the region by the number of vehicles passing through it and the second by traffic intensity along the entire Russian-Chinese section. In October, the updated Krasikino checkpoint began operating.

The head of Rosgranstroy, Dmitry Boykov, noted that the agency pays great attention to the development of checkpoints in Primorsky Krai, emphasizing that this is not just infrastructure but a strengthening of relations with the PRC and the DPRK.
