FIATA meeting to be held at SIL 2027 in Barcelona

The FIATA-REU Field Meeting of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations will be held in Barcelona in June 2027. The announcement was made by FIATA Director General Stéphane Graber during the FIATA World Congress 2026 in Milan, which coincides with FIATA’s 100th anniversary.

The event is scheduled for 9–11 June 2027 and will be held alongside the International Logistics Exhibition (SIL Barcelona). The Consorci de la Zona Franca de Barcelona (CZFB) secured the organisation. Barcelona is expected to become a meeting point for freight forwarders, logistics operators, cargo agents, shippers, ports, airports and companies linked to the global supply chain.

CZFB Executive President Pere Navarro and General Director Blanca Sorigué took part in the FIATA World Congress in Milan. According to the announcement, holding the congress together with SIL Barcelona will increase the international impact of both events and strengthen Barcelona’s role as a logistics gateway to Southern Europe. FIATA was founded in Vienna in 1926 and is headquartered in Geneva; it brings together 106 national associations from nearly 150 countries, represents more than 50,000 companies and has over 4,700 individual members.
